What is a Master Plan?
The Master Plan serves as a policy guide, as well as the Town's future vision.
It compiles a comprehensive analysis of all aspects of community development and is designed to be a resource for the Town over the next 10-20 year time period.

Master Plans are a great tool to encourage dialogue between relevant stakeholders about a community's strengths, weaknesses, and threats to develop a common vision. Overall, Master Plans identify short and long-range objectives, as well as allocate implementation responsibilities. Planning Boards can utilize Master Plans to make fair, consistent decisions, and also prepare for future community growth and change. If you would like to learn more about the master planning process, outlines can be be found here and here.
